Public Parking:

Public non-reserved parking lots are available in the green areas of the above map.

Motorcycle parking is located in the northwest corner of Lot 3. No pass is required, first come first served.

Cougar Club Parking: 
(Bronze level and above) is located in Lots 1-10.

  • All reserved parking lots will be held for pass holders until approximately the end of the 1st quarter of the game
  • Passes are permits for the specified lot only.

  • Lots open 4 hours before the game starts.

State-issued Disability Parking:

The disability parking lot is the IT Building lot (lot 58).

The Disability Lot is accessible only to those with a state-issued disability pass. The lot can be accessed from Canyon or University. A complimentary shuttle will pick up and drop off at the southwest corner of the lot. The shuttle will run continuously from 3 hours before kickoff until 1 hour after. The shuttles are ADA and wheelchair accessible. There is very limited space for disability parking in Lot 2A that is open for anyone with a state-issued disability permit or license plate on a first come, first served basis. Disability Parking in Cougar Club lots are open only to those who qualify for that lot.

Tailgating and RV Parking lots are located in the parking lot south of the IT Building.

Availability: Guests may enter the lot starting at 8 a.m. on all home game days and will remain open until two hours after the conclusion of the game. It is first-come, first-served and there is no overnight parking.  *EXCEPTION- Games that kickoff at 7pm or later may remain in the lot until 8am the following morning.  

Vehicle types: Cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles. RVs and camp trailers are permitted in the Tailgate Lot. 

Space: Tailgaters are allowed two parking stalls per vehicle.

Type of cooking: Only propane and wood-pellet grills are allowed (no charcoal or wood fires).

Other details:

  • A limited number of portable restrooms, dumpsters and recycling bins will be provided.  Please clean up after yourselves. 
  • Personal flags, signs, banners, etc. may not be attached to any BYU fixtures or landscaping. 
  • Please treat those around you and their property with courtesy and respect. 
  • No alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances are allowed in the tailgate lot or on campus.
  • No electrical or water hookups are available.
  • No fireworks.
  • No tent pegs or spikes.
  • No pets.

Late arriving RV and oversized vehicle parking
:

There is an additional parking lot for late arriving RV and oversized vehicles that do not arrive at least three hours before the game. This lot is located at 2230 North 150 East (Canyon Road), approximately three blocks north of LaVell Edwards Stadium. The lot is for parking only and is not meant for tailgating. There is no longer reserved parking available in this lot. It has limited space and is first-come, first-served. Guests must also be out of this lot at least three hours after the game. There is no overnight parking available on campus.

Tailgating in other lots:

Individuals are permitted to tailgate as long as it does not take additional stalls or block the travel lanes of the parking lots. Tailgating activities should occur directly behind or in front of one’s vehicle. The use of propane and wood-pellet grills is allowed, but charcoal or open flame (wood) grills are not allowed due to safety reasons. See information above for large group spaces for RVs, etc.

Prohibited Items

  • LaVell Edwards Stadium has adopted a NO bag policy. Small clutch bags, no larger than 5” x 8” x 1” , with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium.

    • No Food or drink

    The following items are permitted after inspection:

    • Medically necessary items (including diaper bags) will be permitted after inspection. One bag per person.
  • Stadium chairs are not allowed to be brought into LaVell Edwards Stadium. In-stadium chair back rentals will be available on a season and per-game basis and can be purchased when selecting tickets. These rentals will fit within physical specifications to better ensure the comfort of those sitting in close proximity to those with chair backs.

  • All advertisements and handouts must be approved prior to an event. For information regarding advertising with BYU Athletics, contact BYU Athletic Marketing at 801-422-9196.

  • Alcohol and tobacco are not permitted anywhere on BYU Campus, including inside the stadium or in its parking lots.
    Smoking of any kind (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited.

  • Only service animals are allowed inside the venue.

    Pets and ESA animals are not permitted. A service animal is a dog or a miniature horse that has been trained specifically to do work or tasks to assist someone with a disability. Other animals whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained are not considered service animals. Service animals, must be under the owner’s control at all times either by verbal or sight command, or leash.

    If you intend to bring a service animal with you to a game or event, please notify the BYU Special Events Department first. (801-422-6022)

  • LaVell Edwards Stadium reserves the right to inspect all items brought into the facility. By using a ticket to enter the stadium, each guest consents to such a search and waives any related claims against BYU. Guests who refuse to consent to these searches will be denied entry into the stadium. Additional security measures may be implemented to ensure the safety of all guests and personnel within the facility.

    For events held at the stadium, the following items are not allowed inside LaVell Edwards Stadium:

    • Weapons of any type
    • Bags of any size
    • Whiteboards (regardless of size)
    • Signs or banners larger than 24”x36”
    • Other large items
    • Food or drink (including bottled water)
    • Umbrellas (ponchos recommended)
    • Fireworks
    • Glass bottles, cans, or coolers
    • Battery operated megaphones
    • Artificial noisemakers
    • Sticks or poles
    • Laster pointers
    • Video cameras
    • Any other items deemed dangerous by management

    The following items are permitted after inspection:

    • Medical Supplies
    • Blankets
    • Baby supplies
  • Video/audio recording is generally prohibited for all concerts and athletic events. For information regarding specific event policies, please contact the Marriott Center Special Events office at 801-422-6022.

    Fans are welcome to bring personal cameras into Edwards Stadium. Camera bags are not allowed because of our no bag policy. Tripods are not permitted in the seating bowl. Professional photography/professional cameras and any video camera/equipment are not allowed in the stadium without a media credential. Disability Accommodations

  • Assisted listening devices are available at LaVell Edwards Stadium at the Stadium Management Office, just inside Gate 3. Guests will be asked to leave a valid driver’s license as collateral in exchange for the device.

  • Seating accommodations for guests in wheelchairs or with other physical disabilities are available at LaVell Edwards Stadium. At LaVell Edwards Stadium, wheelchair seating is located on the upper and lower concourses of the West Stands and on the lower concourse of the East Stands.

    For ticketed events, wheelchair section seat tickets are required. With each wheelchair-accessible ticket, if available up to three companion tickets are also available for purchase. Typically only one companion seat is guaranteed in the wheelchair section, but we will do our best to seat the other tickets in nearby rows. If you have already purchased your tickets and are concerned they will not meet your accommodation needs, please contact the BYU Ticket Office as early as possible before the event. 801-422-2981

    For patrons who are not confined to wheelchairs but who have difficulty navigating extreme numbers of stairs, limited mobility seats are available for purchase at all ticketed events, if still available. The same purchasing policy for wheelchair seat tickets applies to limited mobility seats.

    For free, general admission events, seats in the wheelchair section are first-come, first-served. Each guest is allowed up to three companions to accompany him or her in these areas or in designated rows surrounding each wheelchair section. We recommend coming at least one hour early to these events.

    For away games and bowl games, disability-accessible tickets are available upon request. Please inform ticket office personnel of any necessary accommodations.

  • Requests for sign language interpretation must be placed at least one week prior to the event. BYU students who need interpreters should contact the University Accessibility Center at 801-422-2767. All other patrons should direct requests to the Marriott Center Special Events Office at 801-422-6022.

  • Wheelchair Checks

    If you are able to sit in a regular seat, but require a wheelchair for transportation, please leave your wheelchair at one of the stroller checks by Gates 3 or 10 or at the wheelchair checks under the North and South Stands. Please ask an usher for assistance if necessary.

    Wheelchairs for Transport

    Although there are no wheelchairs available to rent at Edwards Stadium, a limited number are available to borrow to transport guests to their seats. These wheelchairs are available in the Stadium Management Office, just inside Gate 3 on the west side of the stadium. To ensure the wheelchairs are returned, please bring a driver’s license to leave as collateral.

Stadium Navigation and Seating

  • Children two and older require a ticket to all ticketed events. Younger infants not requiring a ticket must be seated on a lap and must not interfere with the sight lines or enjoyment of other fans. Strollers and infant car seats must be checked at a stroller check located under each of the stands. A Mother’s Room is located in the women’s restroom beneath the East Stands, please ask an usher. Diaper changing stations are located inside each restroom. Lost children are taken to the First Aid Station.

  • For your convenience, three elevators are located in the West Stands, just inside Gates 2 and 4. These elevators travel to the loges and press box levels and are accessible only by those with passes to these areas.

    Patrons with seats at the top of sections 101 to 109 may request use of these elevators to reach their seats, but they must be accompanied by an elevator escort. Even with elevator service, patrons must be able to descend a few stairs in order to reach these seats.

    There are no elevators in the East, North, or South stands and the upper wheelchair sections in the West Stands are accessible by ramp only.

  • In the event of an emergency, please direct your attention to the video walls and listen for announcements on the PA system. BYU Event Staff members and University Police will also provide direction. Guests with disabilities should contact the nearest usher for assistance.

  • Exit or re-entry into the Stadium is available. Guests must have their ticket or ROC pass “exit scanned” upon leaving the venue to be eligible to re-enter. Exit scanning is available at all gates. If you are exiting the venue but plan on returning, please notify the closest ticket taker. The ticket taker will “exit scan” the ticket or ROC pass. Upon re-entry, the previously “exit scanned” ticket or ROC pass must be presented to the ticket taker to be re-scanned to allow re-entry.

  • Only authorized and properly credentialed personnel will be permitted on the playing field before, during or after a football game. Any unauthorized person who enters the playing field will face a fine and ejection from the stadium. During a football game, passes will only be honored for individuals older than 16 years of age.

  • For large events, medical assistance is available at the First Aid Station, which is located on each side of the stands.

  • For BYU Football games and for Stadium of Fire, all gates will open 120 minutes prior to the published start time. For information regarding other events, contact the Marriott Center Special Events at 801-422-6022.

  • The loges are located on top of the West Stands. Guests with loge tickets can access them through the elevators by Gates 2 or 4. Loge guests who wish to have friends or family visit them for a short time before or after the game or during halftime must leave a loge pass for them at the Stadium Management Office near Gate 3.

  • Public restrooms are available on all levels of all stands. All the restrooms are disability accessible. A family disability restroom is located under the West Stands and by the restrooms in the North and South Endzones. A Mother’s lounge is available in the women’s restroom under the East stands. Please ask usher for assistance for usage.

    Water bottle refill stations are located on the lower concourse of the North and South Endzones and south end of the East stands. Drinking fountains are located near the restrooms on the upper and lower concourses of the East and West stands.

  • Rentals

    For individual football games and Stadium of Fire, stadium chairs are available for rental at Gates 1 and 5.

    Personal

    Personal stadium chairs are not permitted inside LaVell Edwards Stadium.

  • The Stadium Management Office is the guest services headquarters of LaVell Edwards Stadium. It is located just inside Gate 3 and opens as soon as guests are permitted into the Stadium and closes approximately thirty minutes after the event ends. Please visit this location with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have during an event. Prior to or after the event, you can do the same by calling the Marriott Center Special Events office at 801-422-6022.

  • Standing is not permitted on the concourse, ramps, or portal entries. Each ticket holder must occupy the seat purchased.

    Excessive standing in non-student sections – please be aware that when you stand, you block the view of the fans behind you. We do not wish to diminish your ability to cheer and enjoy the game, however, your continued standing can interfere with others’ ability to enjoy the game from their seats.

  • The following Will Call locations are in place on football game day. Prior to game day, the Public Will Call is located at the Marriott Center Ticket Office. Guests must show a valid ID in order to claim their tickets at each location.

    Public Will Call is located at the West Stadium Ticket Booth, in the parking lot west of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

    Home Team Player Guest Tickets are located at Gate 12 on the southeast corner of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

    Visiting Team Player Guest Tickets are located at Gate 4 on the northwest corner of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Other Policies and Information

  • For BYU Football games, complimentary earplugs are available by asking an usher.

  • If you must contact a guest during an event due to an emergency, please call the Stadium Management Office at 801-422-6022. Ushers and University Police officers will do their best to locate them quickly inside the venue.

  • Lost and Found articles should be reported or turned in to the Stadium Management Office or to an usher. Any articles not claimed after the event will be sent from the Stadium Management Office to University Central Lost and Found in Room 118 WSC. This office can be reached at 801-422-3024.

  • For information on obtaining media credentials for BYU Football games, please contact BYU Athletic Media Relations at 801-422-8948. A media credential is required for stadium, sideline, and press loge access.

  • There is no tailgating allowed for the 2020 season

  • Reselling tickets: The purchase of BYU season tickets for the primary purpose of reselling most or all of the tickets on the secondary market is prohibited. In the event that BYU identifies a purchaser as having bought season tickets for the primary purpose of resale (e.g., based on a significant reselling history), BYU may, in its sole discretion, cancel and refund some or all of the tickets to the purchaser.

    Season or single-game ticket holders who wish to resell tickets for individual games are encouraged do so securely via their BYUtickets.com account. BYU will not be responsible for any tickets purchased through any other third-party individual, site, or service. Scalping tickets is not permitted on BYU property.

    Re-entry: Guests must have their ticket or ROC pass “exit scanned” upon leaving the venue to be eligible to re-enter. Exit scanning is available at all gates. If you are exiting the venue but plan on returning, please notify the closest ticket taker. The ticket taker will “exit scan” the ticket or ROC pass. Upon re-entry, the previously “exit scanned” ticket or ROC pass must be presented to the ticket taker to be re-scanned to allow re-entry.

    All tickets are non-transferrable. Once a ticket is scanned, it may not be used by another guest to enter the venue, even if the original guest is leaving

    Purchasing

    The BYU Ticket Office facilitates all ticket sales for events at LaVell Edwards Stadium, the Marriott Center, and at all BYU athletic venues. It is located inside the north entrance of the Marriott Center on the Brigham Young University campus (open Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Athletic ticket sales may also be purchased over the counter at the BYU Music Building. Office hours vary on event days and on holidays. Both offices are closed on Tuesdays from 11-12 for devotionals and forums.

    • In person at the Marriott Center Ticket Office and Music Building Ticket Office windows (during office hours).

    On event days, ticket sales are located at the West Stadium Ticket Booth, in the parking lot directly west of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Fan Behavior

  • Brigham Young University seeks to create a safe and comfortable experience at all events held on campus. As a part of that experience we expect that guests will:

    • Respect and appreciate each other.
    • Treat all individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Refrain from disruptive or unruly behavior, including foul or abusive language and obscene gestures.
    • Never display signs with symbols, images, or language that are in poor taste, profane, discriminatory, or for commercial purposes, electioneering, campaigning or advocating for or against any candidate, political party, legislative issue, or government action.
    • Never use language or make gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, and/or sexual orientation.
    • Sit only in their ticketed seat and show their tickets when requested.
    • Never engage in fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter any restricted area, including the playing or performance area.
    • Comply with requests from venue staff regarding venue operations and emergency response.

    The event staff has been trained to intervene when necessary and help ensure that the above expectations are met. Guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard, or by texting the keyword BYU with the concern and their location to 69050.

    Guests who choose not to adhere to this code of conduct are subject to penalty including, but not limited to, ejection without refund, revocation of season tickets, and prevention from attending future events. They may also be in violation of local ordinances resulting in possible arrest or prosecution.

  • Shirts are required. Clothing displaying unsportsmanlike, obscene or profane comments is not permitted.

    Obscene gestures, vulgar language, or unsafe behavior, such as body surfing, tossing a person in the air, holding a person above the head, etc. are unacceptable and may result in ejection.

  • During football games, guests may report security or guest services concerns (e.g. disruptive behavior, smoking, drink spills, broken seats, etc.) by texting the keyword BYU, followed by their location and issue to 69050. Stadium management will follow up immediately on any valid requests (e.g. BYU spilled soda section 6 row 3 seat 11). Standard text messaging rates apply.
